All of these HDR images were made from single shots, not multiple exposures. I was experimenting with a new technique that involves shooting in perfect exposure in RAW (.CR2 format), and then altering the exposure in post to create an over and underexposed image, then merging them with Photomatix as usual. It works extremely well, since RAW format is just the raw pixel data from the sensor anyways and can be extensively altered without losing quality.
This is my entire trip today, from Long Beach airport to Seattle, and my parents’ new house, in HDR.
