Important Update Regarding Image Size
Posted on May 29, 2011
In an effort to bring you all greater photos every day, I’ve decided to make the switch to desktop wallpaper-size photos. This means a few things.
First and foremost: All pictures from May 28th on will be available in 1920×1200 resolution.
2. You will now be able to download a single image that can be resized to almost any desktop (except for 2560×1600 users; sorry guys, it’s just too much server space)
3. Images will be larger and in even greater detail than before. This starts May 28th; I have begun uploading images in 1920×1200Â pixel resolution instead of the normal 1000×600. This is nearly quadruple the total resolution, so these pictures are nearly 4x as awesome as they used to be. Don’t get too excited all at once.
As always, the images can be downloaded by right clicking on the gallery thumbnail and choosing “Saved Linked File As”. This means that you have to right click on the SMALL image that you click to view the full sized photo. Enjoy the photos.
*Keep in mind, I will not be upconverting old photos to the wallpaper format. There are simply too many of them :\ (somewhere in the vicinity of about 900-1200 photos). However, if you have a specific one that you want, let me know and I’ll see if I still have the originals to convert to wallpaper format. No guarantees, but I can try :)
Also, new Featured ribbon. Hope you like.
